Just a quick rule of thumb… When you are booked , you are hired to stay on set for the full duration until you are wrapped !!! Sometimes you can be on set for a couple of hours, other times it’s 8 to 12 hours. It all just depends. Please make arrangements so you can have full day availability. What tips can you give on how to handle this situation or prevent it? If you are NOT 1000% available, then we would advise you to wait until another opportunity comes and submit when you are free!!! That way you don’t take an opportunity from someone else. When you cancel last minute especially with no notice , it can put production in a bind as there was a process to get you approved and now everyone has to scramble around to find a replacement, it is unprofessional and frowned upon. (We definitely remember) We understand emergencies happen in life but canceling for a non-emergency or flat out going ghost is an issue. When you submit for a project and are selected and have confirmed, we expect and depend on you to be there. This is a skill and habit of professionalism that everyone should handle and work out now, so that when the bigger opportunities come, you are ready.
